Sound Investment at Youth Centre
We have recently completed the construction of a commercial standard recording studio for the London Borough of Redbridge. The construction took place within Loxford Youth Centre where we worked closely with the centre staff to ensure this high profile build went smoothly and was completed to all stake holders’ complete satisfaction.
With a build value of £80,000 Mitre worked tirelessly with industry specialists and engineers to ensure that the construction was structurally sound, but with individual components being acoustically isolated from each other in order to meet the strict sound absorbing criteria.
The detail involved in the build meant that the experienced Mitre staff on site had to plan to the minutist detail each section of the build. Wall sections were up to 600mm deep and every care was taken to make sure all joints were sealed with acoustic sealant and no fixings were penetrating the wrong surface.
We installed custom built cupboards to store equipment and used industry standard finishes to complete the build. The works also incorporated mechanical air conditioning and fresh air systems as well as hundreds of metres of electrical and data cabling for the recording equipment.
The construction took 6 weeks and was completed to the highest possible standard.
